Despite the typically poor British weather nearly scuppering our plans, it was fantastic to be at Norton Disney Horse Trials in Lincolnshire, with sun also making a very welcome appearance. The going across the weekend was testing, but helped to make the show all the more competitive.
We were relieved to be able to have Susie Raby’s ‘His Excellency’ out at his first event of the season under the saddle of Morgan Wyatt, having had an unlucky run of cancelled events. He performed perfectly in all 3 phases, to finish on his dressage score of 31 to take the win comfortably. We just hope the sun will keep shining so we can continue to see more of this exciting six year old.

Louise Heard’s ‘Jack Randall’ and Alex Tordoff were also having another run after picking up a 4th place at Thoresby International the week prior. With a solid dressage and speedy double clear, they also managed to finish ahead of the field to take the win in the novice. A great run ahead of Osberton International in a few weeks time.
