Our 2024 eventing season kicked off this weekend at Oasby Horse Trials in Lincolnshire, with a fantastic effort from the event organisers allowing us to compete despite the torrential weather.
Digger Jones owned by Colin Jaggard, had a great run in the intermediate, picking up 7th with a steady round ahead of his 4* debut in a few weeks at Thoresby International. Cool Jack had a superb run in the OI, with a smart test followed by a clear jumping round. He was withdrawn from the cross country phase to save him from the wet going ahead of his International runs that are approaching. Louise Heard’s Jack Randall had a very confident run around the novice, and is feeling ready to take the coming season on and work his way up the levels.
It was also great to see some our students putting in super runs at the start of the season, with Jemima Cross and Cado Louvo picking up 8th in the OIU21 section. Unfortunately the bad weather caught up, meaning the last day of competition was abandoned, meaning some of our younger horses will have to wait to make their start to the season.
As always, a huge thank you to our hard working team and owners that make all of this possible.
